TUFF SAFETY SOLUTIONS AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN SYSTEM™

The TUFF Automatic Safety Shutdown System™ is designed as an emergency shutdown system that is capable of giving audio and visual warning based on gas sensor readings at the air intake and/or inside Tri-Diamond™ Habitat to enable manual shutdown or automatically terminate Hot-Work inside Tri-Diamond™ Habitat.

The TUFF Automatic Safety Shutdown System™ is unique due to its modularity. We can, at any time, configure the system to the needs and desires of our client. The system can monitor for 17 different gases but only 5 at a time. That gives more than 10,000 different configurations.

The TUFF Automatic Safety Shutdown System™ will in the most common setup monitor for Lower explosive limit (LEL), poisonous gases like Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and Oxygen (O2) plus for pressure difference between the inside of the Tri-Diamond™ Habitat and the outside. The TUFF Automatic Safety Shutdown System™ will have monitors for LEL and H2S placed at the air intake outside of Tri-Diamond™ Habitat in case the air for some reason suddenly would get polluted. Inside the Tri-Diamond™ Habitat we will monitor the pressure, the O2 level and LEL. The LEL monitor at the inside will be placed at a high point near the air outtake.

The TUFF Automatic Safety Shutdown System™ is controlled by a PLC unit which can be placed inside or outside of Tri-Diamond™ Habitat. The TUFF control box with the PLC inside is the size of a laptop so it is easy to move around and it does not take up too much space.

From the TUFF Automatic Safety Shutdown System™ control box we monitor gases and pressure plus at the same time we control welding, grinding, power, etc to all Hot-Work inside Tri-Diamond™ Habitat. In case of detection of gases or loss of pressure all Hot-Work equipment shutdowns automatically. It is also possible for our certified technicians to manually shutdown if deemed necessary.

The TUFF Automatic Safety Shutdown System™ is always custom made to create a solution that meets our client's specific needs.
